Mario Caribé's Boteco Trio - João Gilberto Tribute

Described as the ‘father of bossa nova’ Brazilian singer, songwriter and guitarist João Gilberto was a musical pioneer. In this premiere concert for EJBF, renowned bassist Mario Caribé pays homage to his countryman with his Boteco Trio.

Stuart Brown and Brian Moley join Caribé for this unique celebration of the music of a master. Well known for their interpretations of Brazilian music, this versatile trio will take you on a journey through the iconic rhythms made famous by a giant of the Brazilian music scene, including classics like ‘The Girl From Ipanema’, ‘Desafinado’ and ‘Bésame Mucho’. With Caribé on vocals, this is a celebration you don’t want to miss.
